Can I use my private health for remedial massage?

Yes! As long as your extras cover includes remedial massage you are able to claim at the appointment. All private health funds are accepted.

I’ve never had a remedial massage before, what should I expect?

At the beginning of the session you will be asked to provide a brief overview of any areas of concern you may have, previous injuries and a general health history. To get the best outcome and a better understanding where your issues may be stemming from you will be asked to complete a small battery of assessments, then we will get stuck into your treatment!

Remedial massage can be firm at times, it is important to speak up if you feel it is too uncomfortable for you and the pressure will be adjusted. It is also quite common to feel a little tender following the session for up to 48 hrs. 

I’m pregnant, when can I come in for a pregnancy massage?

At Remade you can come in for a pregnancy massage at any point during your pregnancy. Research identifies that there is little clinical evidence to support claims that massage during the first trimester can be linked to any adverse outcomes. Rest assured though, you are in safe hands. Your comfort is most important, which is why pressure and positioning during the massage will be altered at any time based on the therapist's best judgment and at your request.
